i learnt a new word today:
chatoyant - to shine like a cat's eye
and i knew immediately what
to do with this shimmering and lustrous word:
break it up and
plaCe its letters on a dark road so
that the different
facets of the syllables
catch the smallest
ray of light and show
the way to the
fluorescent heart of this poem
and make your own heart fill out with
radiating eyes that will see the cat all the
way from its eyes to its very tail
